Pile Driving

At Provencher Piers we know that the foundation of any house is critical, and the most important part of constructing a solid quality product. Combined with our years of experience and expert workmanship we are confident that our pile driving is second to none, the best in the Northwest Florida area.

Pile driving is an operation in which piles are driven into the soil to provide foundation support for buildings or other structures. A traditional method of pile driving involves a heavy weight placed between guides so it is able to freely stand along a single line. It is then fitted to a pile and the weight raised by use of hydraulics, steam, or diesel. When the weight reaches its highest point it is released and connects wih the pile forcing it into the ground.

Seawalls

A seawall (bulkhead) is a form of coastal defense constructed where the water, and associated coastal processes, impact directly upon the landforms of the coast. The addition of a seawall is one of the best things you can do to protect your waterfront property. A seawall works by reflecting incident wave energy back into the sea, therefore reducing the energy and erosion which your property would otherwise be subjected to.

Without the protection of a retaining seawall, your waterfront property can slowly sink back into the sea. This is not only detrimental for your investment, it is bad for the environment.
